Influencing Factors of Risky Drinking in Current Drinking High School Girls Using the 2021 Adolescent Health Behavior Survey

Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify Influencing Factors of Risky Drinking among Current Drinking High School Girls in Korea.

Methods: This study used the raw data of the 17th Adolescent Health Behavior Survey (2022) and selected 1599 high school girls who are currently drinking.

Results: A result of the study, the risk drinking influencing factors of current drinking female high school students in Korea were school type, type of residence, first start of drinking, drunk experience (month), ease of purchase of alcoholic beverages, and presence of depression. In particular, ease of purchase of alcohol is a very important factor as it was shown to increase risky drinking by 4.763 times (Exp(¥â)=0.568, p<.001).

Conclusions: It is hoped that the results of this study will be used as a reference for the composition of the risk drinking intervention program for high school girls who are currently drinking, and the results of future intervention studies are expected.
